Happy April! Do April showers actually bring May flowers, or just damp socks and false hope?

• Our booth at the Taste of Montclair event was a big success. Who knew 15 bottles of wine and 10 dozen cookies weren't enough to satisfy our epicurean friends in Oakland?  
• 24 Cabrillo is pending. My very patient clients searched for nearly a year for a Montclair home with a 1-bed ADU. Four offers later, we still got them a deal. We close next week.
• New Berkeley Hills listing coming in May. I'm not ready to say much, but it's one of those houses, the kind that doesn't last -- you'll see why.
• Meanwhile, in real estate soap opera news: Compass, Redfin, and Zillow are all trying to control more of the transaction. It's being sold as "innovation." It's really about a bigger cut. For buyers and sellers: less transparency, more gatekeeping. If you want the full breakdown, call me. If not, reality TV is easier to follow.

Also, what did you think of the No Kings March in your city? Ours was well attended and brought out the best of Oakland.
