Hi again!
It's me again, talking about life and real estate -- what else matters? (Don't answer that!)
Home Things:
- Property Tax: Alameda County and I disagree on how much property tax I should pay. I submitted an appeal, and you can, too, unless you don't like money. Here's the link to the Assessment Appeal online. You'll need to cite comparable properties on the form, so let me know if you need help.
- Drainage: You may not be thinking about rain while the sky is orange with smoke from the Oregon fires, but now's the time to prepare for winter rain. It's time to fix the roof, replace windows, and clean gutters! If you're not the "DIY-type" and need vendors, I got you!
- State of the Market: For those who only read my introduction and ignore the rest of the newsletter, here's a link to the replay of Red Oak's State of the Market Webinar. It was actually quite good. See the photo above; my dog and cat were riveted.
New Listings!
- 2097 Robb Rd in Walnut Creek! One thing I love about my job is helping friends -- a.k.a. people I like in real life. If I've known you a long time, you may remember Beth, one of the senior managers at InterActive PR. I am honored that Beth called me after 30 years and trusted me to sell her extraordinarily well-maintained home in Walnut Creek. Our team worked with Beth to refresh the home with designer touches, and we'll be on the MLS by Friday!
- Coming Soon: Sometime before the end of the year, I will have a new 3 bed, 2 bath home in Montclair for sale. Keep your eyes peeled.
Events, Etc:
- Happy New Year! For my fellow "Jew-ish" friends who only go to Temple twice a year, L'Shana Tova. My colleague Ilan Penson (a brilliant new Red Oak agent) and I dropped off little bags of apples and honey to celebrate the new year. See the picture below of one of our cutest recipients. Let me know if you want to be on our drop-off list for more fun gifts this year; Halloween is coming!
- Planting Roots in Montclair: Our second crafting event at the Montclair Farmer's Market was a big hit. The kids probably lost or dropped the vases and cracked them 5 minutes after they left our booth, but decorating was fun!
Referrals!
- Know anyone considering buying, selling, or investing in real estate? I'd truly appreciate your referral.
- Do you need vendors to help around the house with improvements like a gardener, plumber, electrician, or painter? I'm your gal!
